     This episode was one of the most thought-provoking thus far. Blending religion, technology, and the condition of the soul.      Meet Yorkie, a quiet, shy, insecure young woman as she visits the beach town of San Junipero for the first time.      This episode depicts what could quite possibly be the perfect crime. Blackmailing people into committing crimes for you by exploiting their deepest darkest secrets and demanding your compliance.       Here we meet Kenny, a young man who has a dark secret. After a hacker records him flogging the bishop to child porn Kenny is forced to break the law to keep this video from getting posted to the web. It doesn't take long for Kenny to find out he isn't alone. This hacker has blackmailed others, giving each a job to do. No one knows what any of the others have done only that they are linked through the blackmailer to commit crimes to keep their secrets. After Kenny is forced into a fight to the death he tries to end his own life only to find out that the gun is empty.      With the growing advancements in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, it is easy to be excited about what this game developer is trying to achieve. Imagine being able to experience the world of VR and AR without ever having to put on heavy goggles or look at your phone screen. That is exactly what this game developer is working towards.      Meet Cooper. After his father's death, Cooper goes on a trip in hopes of finding himself. His desire is to figure out his place in the world and what he wants to do in his life. Cooper's luck, however, takes a turn for the worse after he becomes the victim of an identity thief. Needing to get back home and having no money to do it with, Cooper desperately tries to find work, anywhere he can. Cooper's luck seems to be improving when he sees that a game developer is paying people to test an experimental game.        This was an episode that hit a little too close to home. with how dependent our society is on social media it is not so hard to envision our society operating entirely on your social media rating. That is exactly what this dystopian thriller does!      Welcome to America 2024, where everything we do is directly related to how others view us and rate our interactions. Everything, from the job we have, the house we live in, loans we are able to get, and even the vehicles we are able to rent, right down to our social circle and who we interact with is governed by our social media rating.      Meet Lacie, who desperately wants to be able to get her dream home. Unfortunately, her rating is only 4.2. A 4.2 out of a possible 5.0 isn't that bad, pretty good in fact, but Lacie needs a 4.5 or above to be able to get her dream home.      This was an amazing bonus episode. Like normal in " Black Mirror " it started mostly normal. Just a couple people in a cabin out in the woods. I have seen many horror movies, this is a recipe for disaster. That is what I was expecting, a horror episode, but that is not what I got. Both Matt's and Joe's stories of what they used to do were very disturbing, for different reasons. It was Joe's story that got my attention.      Joe trained 'cookies'. Cookies are next-gen digital assistants. It is what the 'cookies' are that is most disturbing. It is the consciousness of the person they are assisting, that makes sense. Who better to assist you, than you, but in order for a 'cookie' to be effective, they must first be broken. Let's not forget that a 'cookie' thinks that it is a person and not a digital copy and Joe has the most effective and quickest way to break them, solitude. There was a time, not that long ago, when I would say that something like this could never happen. Now I am not that sure. I would hate to think that something like this could happen. Think about it, the character is what you are voting for, but the person behind the curtain, or in this case in the van, is who is truly in power. I don't know about you, but this is something that rubs me the wrong way. Just like in the episode, the person who embodies the character is replaced with bureaucrats, people who weren't elected, and the people who voted, had they known, probably wouldn't have voted for the character.       What this episode does a very good job at doing is pointing out the obvious problem with some of the people in government. They all play politics. Some of these people don't campaign on what they truly believe, they campaign on what they think will get them elected. They say things they think people want to hear and they take positions that are politically...

     This was an amazing episode. With typical " Black Mirror " fashion you start the episode not knowing anything. The only thing you know is that something is wrong. I wasn't able to figure out what was going on at all. I had to wait for them to tell me.       This is an interesting way to go about punishing criminals but do you think this was a few steps too far? Would this classify as cruel and unusual? If you think about the point of the justice system, it is to rehabilitate criminals so they can be integrated back into society. Does this help to that end? That is an answer I don't have. I don't remember if they tell you how long the sentence is but if this is an ongoing thing then I completely disagree with it, no matter how it appeals to a sense of justice. One thing I would like to note is that this would send a very powerful message to criminals. If you don't want this to happen to you, don't commit crime. That being said, it would be a strong...
